I’m finally sharing our finished nursery. I still have to invest in artwork for some of the walls in his little room. I’m so pleased with how this turned out! Our vision came to life with this space’s mood board and color scheme. I can’t wait to read stories to him and have him enjoy his room.
For his changing table and dresser, we decided to go with the Skip Hop changing pad since it’s wipeable and can be cleaned easier. I also loved the detail on the side of the dresser. The mirror we purchased is from Hobby Lobby. The lamp is great because it has a foot push button, so it’s great when you’re busy holding baby. The olive tree is from Amazon and the planter is from HomeGoods. We decided to go with the Ubbi Diaper Pail, so I’ll report back to see how it holds up.
We got curtain rods and holdbacks from Amazon with marble spheres to match the outer space aesthetic. The curtains are great quality and are blackout curtains. Our roller shades are from SelectBlinds.com, and we have them in every room of our house. The side tables are from HomeGoods, but I linked similar options via the LTK app and below within the image.
The reading corner is one of my favorites! I chose a neutral theme and found the perfect wall shelves for his nighttime books. The nursery glider with the ottoman was the perfect addition to this corner, and the side tables will be nice to have during nighttime feedings. For the wall color, we went with Behr’s Very Navy and purchased outer space decals from Etsy to make a statement wall. The rug is from Wayfair, and I found it on sale. For cribs, I recommend sticking to a 5×7 rug and always placing the feet of the crib on the rug. Some people don’t like the look of a rug on carpet, but I feel like it does spruce up the room.
The crib is a stunner! If you’re in the market, I recommend snatching it fast because it goes out of stock constantly. The handles on the crib match the handles on the dresser as well, but they do differ in color a bit. I ended up spray painting the crib handles a darker gold to match it more to the dresser handles. One of the features I was looking for in a crib was the ability to grow with our family, so I loved that this was a 3-in-1. This one also has drawers at the bottom for additional storage. That’s where we are keeping his blankets, crib sheets and even bassinet sheets for now. For the mattress, we went with the Newton breathable and waterproof mattress. We were thankful to receive many crib sheets as gifts and loved these Muslin material outer space-themed crib sheets. They’re so soft. His navy blanket on the crib is Barefoot Dreams, and I got it online from Nordstrom Rack. For a monitor camera, we went with the Owlet since we were already getting the sock. His planet mobile is from Pottery Barn Kids – the string is kind of long, so we didn’t place it right above the crib for safety reasons. We decided to hang it from the ceiling instead. The rattan pendant light is a beauty and brings all of the natural wood tones together to complete the look.
What’s your favorite part of our baby boy’s nursery? Tell us in the comments! We can’t wait to welcome him soon!
